Peplum Please! Do's and Please Dont's

Spring has definitely bloomed the love of the Blossoming Peplum style Dresses. This sophisticated look is a great choice for day to night wear. But beware for this classy look can go horribly wrong if you don't follow some guide lines.

 1. Leave the over exaggerated peplum styles for the runway. And if you have curves this can accentuate them in the in an unflattering way. So keep it simple!

2. Choose basic colors such as nude, blush, or black with little accents like cut outs or lace. Color blocking is also a good choice, but keep it to two colors!

3. Fabric! This dress is best in a breathable and stretchy fabric that forms to your fit. Try to avoid silky and shiny fabrics because they show imperfections like wrinkles and bulges.

The first two pictures are of my good friend Jazmine rocking a blush toned peplum dress with a V cut in the back. Perfect spring time dress!

Below are some more affordable options from asos that follow the trends of colorblocking and corals. Also a great twist to for your little black dress!
